UPDATE

Ok so since being on vacation I haven't done well on taking care of myself. I am at 160.4 (only up 1 pound) , not bad considering. 

Don't fear, I will be back at blogging next Wednesday!!

DAY 36

OOPS I haven't been on here in a couple of days. BUT I have been mainly staying on track as far as diet goes. EVEN though thanks to my mother, there were donuts in the house! Which means that I have had one, or two. =X So I had to take out calories throughout the day. Smaller portions. Healthier choices.

Today is WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY! I lost .6 pounds. So I am down to 159.4lbs. Not quite a pound, but pretty DAMN close. With changing my diet, I am just glad it wasn't a gain. I have read horror stories on line of people that were on the Dukan diet adding back on carbs and gaining the weight back rapidly!  So far so good.

I have kept up on the exercising! I am sticking to my 15 min on the elliptical in the a.m. and 10 min. on it in the p.m. I have increased the resistance from 1 to 5 and trying to stay between 30-40 RPM. 10 mins at this burns about 130 calories. I can feel myself get less flabby, and more tone.

Seems like I will NEVER get to 10 pounds!

Can you see a difference? There are definitely some things I notice, more so on my love handles and gut. I should have probably put the original shirt and jeans on.

Tomorrow is the Hubbys birthday, so we are going to Dave and Busters tonight. I am going eat fries, because I miss them. Badly. I just wont eat the whole plate. HOPEFULLY!

DAY 33

15 min in the morning on the elliptical, and 10 mins after dinner.  I am getting to where I can go faster longer. Feels good to build up. I did about 30 arm exercises.

All of the stress creeping up in my life right now is making it hard. I feel drained, and could probably sleep for days!

So much going on this week. Have to pack for our Arkansas trip, we leave Friday. Having a baby with us makes me feel like I need to pack up the whole house!! PLUS it's the husbands birthday, and we are going to D&B's on Wednesday night.  (yes, I will be having a beer) I just need to stick with my workouts everyday!!!






BREAKFAST
2 slices of low fat ham
scrambled eggs ~ 1 lg egg and 1 tbs of egg white 
1 wedge of light laughing cow cheese

SNACK
1 tbs of peanut butter

LUNCH
~Chili's~
10 tortilla chips with 1tbs of queso, and salsa
1 corn tortilla
1/2 grilled chicken breast 
1 tsp of guacamole
1tsp of shredded cheese
(oh, and I snuck 2 french fries off of my oldest son's plate =X)

5 BITES OF MOLTEN LAVA CAKE!!!!!

SNACK
100 calorie chex mix snack pack

DINNER
2 turkey hot dogs (110 cal each)

DESSERT
fiber one 90 calorie brownie

DAY 32



My life is hardly EVER boring. 
 The middle son sliced his finger open today, enough to warrant a trip to the ER for stitches.
With all of the snow we have had, my husband has had to take our only 4 wheel drive vehicle to work. Luckily my parents don't live too far, BUT they had a huge snow drift and had to dig out before they could come and get us. I had to go to the neighbors and ask for a ride (embarrassing, but it happens) and was fortunate enough for them to say yes. 4 hours later, 5 stitches, a weeks work of antibiotics, and a referral to a hand specialist due to the tendon being cut. Bright side? He didn't lose his finger.

I didn't get to work out this morning, but got in 15 minutes after dinner. So far I have gone everyday with at least 15 min since I have started. Doesn't seem like much I guess, but it is more than I was doing before. 

I am interested to see what the scale reads this week. I am sure that adding in carbs & sugar has either got me up in weight or flat. I was really hoping to be at my first 10 pounds lost this week. We shall see.





BREAKFAST
1 med size chocolate chip pancake with 1 tsp of light country crock, and 1 tbs of lite syrup
3 pcs of low fat bacon

LUNCH
1 sandwich ~ whole wheat sandwich thin bread, 2 slices of low fat deli ham, 1 ff slice of american cheese, with dijon mustard
1 single serve microwaveable cauliflower and cheese
1 sugar free, 60 calorie chocolate pudding with a tbs of ff cool whip

DINNER
1/2 chicken breast baked, marinated in jack daniels steak marinade
1/2 c of brown rice
1c of green beans

DAY 31

SNOW DAY!!

10 min elliptical in the am and 10 in the pm, plus 1 hr of shoveling.  There was a lot of laying around being bums in my house. Snow Day=don't do crap day!! =)

I threw the leftover diet coke cake AWAY! LOL no control =/




BREAKFAST
egg in a slice of red pepper
thin wheat sandwich bread toasted~100 calories

LUNCH
1 1/4 c of turkey chili with beans

SNACK
2 sm diet coke cupcakes

DINNER
1c of chili
1c of wheat spiral pasta
1 single serve of broccoli with cheese
(I only ate half of it because sweet pea was being needy =D and then she needed a bath...so I didn't get back to dinner)

DESSERT
2 sm diet coke cupcakes

Day 30

20 min on the elliptical and 40 arm exercises. 
One of the boys was sick, and I am fighting off something. Almost flu like.
Gearing up for our trip to Arkansas. I can't wait to be around all of our loving family!
 Not much else right now. Just trucking along and TRYING to stay on track.

3 slices of ham warmed with ff sliced american cheese

DAY 29



Kicked my butt into gear today on the elliptical!! Trying to stay ABOVE 45 RPMs. Did 15 min of that. Then 10 min of Zumba on the PS3. If you have never tried it..it gets your heart pumping. 40 arm exercises, and 30 stomach exercises. P90x will be here next week and I will start it the week after I get back from vacation.

Looks like snow will be here soon. I REALLY want to bake. I am thinking a diet coke cake with ff cool whip? At least to help with the cravings. 

As you can tell I am definitely NOT stuck on the Dukan diet anymore. =( I am still watching my carb in take along with calories. I am very pleased with the 8 pounds I have lost so far on it, but I think I am going to move more towards the WW style. I don't regret doing the Dukan, it has helped me get my portions under control and kick start my weight loss. I will probably still do a pure protein day every week. I am still sticking to lean meats, but I am going to have veggies, add beans, low calorie whole wheat bread, whole wheat rice, and whole wheat pasta and occasional sweets. In moderation of course.

Either way, I am not stopping. I am marching on towards my goal. I am happy that I have been back into a workout routine. I am getting stronger and more resilient every day! I feel better about myself, even though I know I have a ways to go.

LUNCH
1 single serve microwavable broccoli and cheese
1 packet of frozen tilapia

1/2 piece of pizza

Day 28~picking myself back up

I completely fell of the wagon. 
I felt guilty, because it was all for comfort with what has been going on in my life. 
I spent all day at the hospital. Drained from stress. (mainly about my son and his not so great choices)

I got 15 min in on the elliptical this morning, and that was about it. With getting Faith ready for an all day outing, eating a decent breakfast, and looking decent before I left...I didn't have enough time for anything else. (excuses, i know) I jumped on the elliptical when I got home from the hospital after eating that cheeseburger and fries for another 10 minutes....I up'd my speed to try and burn off some of what I had eaten today. I should get the p90x next week, and I am going to start it the week after I get back from our vacation in Arkansas. I am a little scared, because I heard it is reallllllly hard. =X


It is weigh in Wednesday. Not too bad considering not staying on the diet completely. Down another pound, and inches.
