It has been the roughest day so far.
It's the Broncos Game, and usually it would be chips and dips, and meatballs (bbq sauce & grape jelly), cookies, and just JUNK in general. I did good, prepared myself with bell peppers and sliced cucumbers. We made an artichoke dip with ff cream cheese and ff sour cream. I made crab legs and instead of dipping them in butter I just sprayed them with lemon juice. It really wasn't the same, but surprisingly still yummy. I think the hardest part of the evening was not having a beer. That is something that you just can't substitute, especially when your team is losing. I held strong though.
Real life. I went shopping with mom today and around lunch time I was starving. I didn't come prepared, so I had to make the healthiest fast food choice. Chic fil A. Don't gasp. I was good. Ordered a grilled chicken salad. Of course I had to eat it without the cheese, croutons, and carrots.....but it hit the spot.
I got a 20 min workout on the wii, and some walking in during shopping. The weather is forecasted to be almost 60 tomorrow, and I am looking forward to taking the kids on a walk. You gotta love Colorado almost 60 one day and possibly snowing the next!

It was a very tempting day at every corner. I am a little surprised at myself for resisting the comfort food I have known all of my life. Growing up, food is what our lives revolved around. It meant family time. I am having to learn that it doesn't have to be full of fat & sugar to be fun food...
This quote seemed really fitting for my day.
"The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places." ~Author Unknown
