Day 2

167

Went down 1.2 pounds!! I will take it. I am sure it is the 2L of water I drank, because I used the ladies room so much yesterday.

I have tried to think of ways to help keep me focused. I decided to come up with rewards for each 10 pound milestone. (I am wanting to reach a 35 pound loss)

For my first 10 pounds I am buying a tanning membership. No worries I wont go overboard and look like Snookie. And yes I know that it can cause skin cancer.

My 20 pounds lost reward will be a pair if Miss Me jeans (a size smaller for incentive). They are pricey, but I will save about $20 to $30 a week by not eating out or going to starbucks for a venti iced skinny caramel macchiato. =)

I am not sure on my 30 pounds accomplishment. I will just be happy to feel better about myself!

A few tips that have helped me these first two days of sugar and carb detox:

1. sugar-free gum is my best friend!!

2. I bought post-it notes, and put inspirational/motivational quotes on them. I put the notes around the house; fridge, bathroom mirror, car (to stop you from making those fast food stops), anywhere I feel I would stop and take a moment.

3. Ice water. I have read several articles on how cold drink/food helps speed up your metabolism.

4. Carry dukan diet safe food with you at ALL times!!! (im thinking i need a lunchbox!)

End of Day reflection, it was hard. I keep wanting a piece of candy, but I resisted temptation and have now been sugar free for 2 days. phew. I have had a headache all day, which I am being told is the sugar/carb detox. Let's hope tomorrow is better.
